Our Needs
Our needs are always changing and yet some things are always on the list:
Monetary donations: We always have repairs and improvements to make and utilities to pay. In addition, we have to shop once in a while for food or other items that are needed but have not been donated at the time of need. Monetary donations are tax deductible as we are a 501c3 non-profit and we can make a receipt for your tax use.
Non perishable food such as dry goods and canned goods. These store well in our brand new pantry and do not have to be eaten right away.
Milk is always needed. This is one of the items we regularly purchase at the store.
Help in the retail store. We always need help putting items out for sale and sorting clothing by size etc being put out for sale in the store. We are always in need on this front as items are donated. The store raises about half the funds which are used to operate the shelter so this is super important.
We currently need some outdoor lawn chairs. I am always on the hunt for good sturdy outdoor chairs on sale.
We are moving the laundry room from upstairs to downstairs and are currently seeking a few commercial washers and dryers. If anyone has a lead on these, please let me know.
